Driver Education Classroom Rules
Pagers and cell phones are to be turned OFF, not on vibrate, during class hours. Playing games on a cell phone, or ringing interruptions during class are cause for dismissal from that day's class, and will need to be made up at a later date
Vandalism of the classroom, tables, chairs, or other Statewide Driving School property will not be tolerated. Dismissal from class, assessment of charges, and notification of parents are all possible
Talking or other disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Dismissal from class will result, and the class will need to be made up at a later date
The classroom is not a bedroom. Sleeping will be cause for dismissal from class
Statewide Driving School must certify to the California DMV that you have attended 30, fifty-minute sessions. If you are late to class, whether in the morning or after breaks, the time missed will be made up in a future class before you will get your certificate of completion
All four class segments must be attended for successful completion. It is up to you, the student, to know what classes you have taken or need
Food and drinks are allowed in the class. However, you are expected to clean up your own mess. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from class
Students are forbidden from smoking in, in front of, or near to the classroom doors
Students are expected to be picked up on time. If the instructor has to wait for more than 30 minutes after class is finished, a $10.00 fine will be assessed and must be paid before receiving a completion certificate
Please read these rules and go over them with your parents. "I didn't know that!" will not be accepted as an excuse.
